Trust the Future to God's Power

Operation PUSH Day 27

Psalms 46:8‭-‬11

"Come, behold the works of the Lord , Who has brought desolations and wonders on the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]".

The future is in view in these verses: a time when wars will erupt and a period known as the great tribulation will overtake the earth. Jesus told His disciples, "And there will be signs…and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken" (Luke 21:25-26).

Ultimately, all will culminate in Israel in a battle called Armageddon (see Revelation 16:16). Then Jesus Christ will con7me to end the battle—and end all wars. God, our Ruler, will one day reveal His mighty power. In the meantime we're called to acknowledge His power and "be still."

Dear readers, Words are powerful. I have learnt to let most of the things I say be positive and contain a prayer. Praying God's word over your marriage is important. Marriage is a blessing from God, but it is not always cherished the way it should be; Maybe because life gets busy, or we get distracted; Maybe because we start to take one another for granted; Or we disagree and let resentments hang on longer than they should. Hm! I was taught recently that the baggages we bring along from our past, into our marriages are a great burden as well. We take these baggages for granted but believe you me, most old baggages, are the cause of most broken marriages. Some baggages are in the form of old girlfriends and boyfriends who are witches and wizards, or left some kind of spiritual bonding with your spouse. Some are in the form of just clingy exes. THE NAKED MARRIAGE

Welcome dear Readers, You must be thinking that I want to talk about sex today. But hey, we will be talking about that plus a lot more. True intimacy requires what happens in the bedroom plus a lot more. In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve, the first couple. They lived in an ideal world; no debt, no no crazy in laws, no baggage, no stress, no fighting and and also, NO CLOTHING! (Gen 2:25) When God reveals unto us a naked marriage, He is revealing to us something more than just walking around the house with no clothes on or just sex. He is revealing the importance of TRANSPARENCY, VULNERABILITY,ACCEPTANCE and INTIMACY at every level of the relationship. I am suggesting we become more intentional about working on our relationships this way. Love is honest. Love is trust. Bonjour, I am tearing up listening to Mama Gloria Bamiloye saying something about her husband, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye. They inspired me to write this. Most of my posts so far has been on praying about your marriage and making God the centre of it. To the singles out there, have you ever thought of communicating with God about your future partner? Do you have expectations(specs) of whom you would like to share the rest of your life with? Go to God in prayer and ask Him to give you what you want. The best part of God anwering your prayer is Him giving you what is actually Best for you. He knows what you need but He needs you to ask for it.
