The blood of the lamb

Buenas Días a todos,

Welcome to Day 18 of Operation PUSH!

"For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you". (1 Peter 1:18–20)

One of the most significant holy days in the Old Testament was Yom Kippur (Jewish name). I first heard this name from a TV series I watched recently: that actually inspired me to do this research) or the Day of Atonement. During this sacred time, the High Priest would take a scapegoat and lay his hands on it, symbolically transferring the sins of the entire nation of Israel onto the animal. Then the High Priest would banish the goat into the wilderness, representing the putting away of Israel’s sin before God. After that, a spotless lamb would be sacrificed, representing the atoning of Israel’s sin, and thus cleansing the entire nation of their iniquities. To this very day, Yom Kippur is the most holy day in Israel or amongst the Jews.

However, Two thousand and more years ago, Jesus Christ became both the Scapegoat and the sacrificial Lamb, sacrificing Himself of the cross of Calvary for the sins of the entire world (not just the nation of Israel), so that all who believe in Him may be redeemed from the curse of sin, and stand clean, forgiven, and justified before a holy God. What a wonderful display of God’s goodness! The blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed every born-again believer from their sins, and has transformed us into new creations.

As a mother of energetic boys, I learned early how to use bleach to remove heavy stains from clothing. Depending on how soiled the clothing was, there would sometimes still be a remnant of the original stain.
In contrast, the blood of Jesus Christ removes any and all stains and leaves no trace of our iniquities, but washes us completely clean. Hallelujah! The blood of Jesus Christ is more powerful than anything you have ever imagined. It was the only ransom worthy of redeeming us. No matter what you are dealing with in your life, you must recognize that the blood of Jesus Christ is more than able to redeem, heal, deliver, and cleanse you. There is power in the blood!

Let us pray...

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You for the blood of Jesus. Through Your shed blood, I have been redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death. According to Galatians 3:13–14, You became a curse for me and hung on the tree so that I might receive the blessing of Abraham. Thank You, Jesus, for fulfilling Yom Kippur on my behalf. The Word of God declares that the life is in the blood. You exchanged Your life for mine and paid my ransom. I receive the blood sacrifice that You made for me, and I know that through You I am completely clean and justified. I declare that the blood of Jesus Christ neutralizes every curse. I declare that the blood of Jesus Christ is the title deed for my healing, deliverance, and breakthrough. I serve notice to the kingdom of darkness that the blood of Jesus is against it! The enemy can no longer condemn, accuse, or slander my name because my sins are under the blood of Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for Your mighty power working in and through my life. Just as the blood of bulls and goats had power under the old covenant to atone and bring restoration, so Your blood, as the ultimate payment, has the power to completely restore my total self. The blood of Jesus covers me in every area of my life.

Amen!

SPECIAL EDITION: PRAY OVER YOUR MARRIAGE and another love story

Dear readers,  Words are powerful. I have learnt to let most of the things I say be positive and contain a prayer. Praying God's word over your marriage is important.  Marriage is a blessing from God, but it is not always cherished the way it should be; Maybe because life gets busy, or we get distracted; Maybe because we start to take one another for granted; Or we disagree and let resentments hang on longer than they should. Hm! I was taught recently that the baggages we bring along from our past, into our marriages are a great burden as well. We take these baggages for granted but believe you me, most old baggages, are the cause of most broken marriages.  Some baggages are in the form of old girlfriends and boyfriends who are witches and wizards, or left some kind of spiritual bonding with your spouse. Some are in the form of just clingy exes. Some baggages may even just be low self esteem or extreme high expectations. When joined as ''one'', a new battle to...

THE NAKED MARRIAGE

Welcome dear Readers, You must be thinking that I want to talk about sex today. But hey, we will be talking about that plus a lot more. True intimacy requires what happens in the bedroom plus a lot more. In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve, the first couple. They lived in an ideal world; no debt, no no crazy in laws, no baggage, no stress, no fighting and and also, NO CLOTHING! (Gen 2:25) When God reveals unto us a naked marriage, He is revealing to us something more than just walking around the house with no clothes on or just sex. He is revealing the importance of TRANSPARENCY, VULNERABILITY,ACCEPTANCE and INTIMACY at every level of the relationship. I am suggesting we become more intentional about working on our relationships this way. Love is honest. Love is trust. You open yourself to temptations when you decide not to live in a naked marriage. These temptations have led many down the path of doom. My husband used to believe trust in a marriage is a sacrifice. T...

MAKING THE CONSCIOUS EFFORT 1

Welcome Dear Readers, Have you ever heard someone say ,"I am still with you, ain't I?"  "If i didn't love you, I would not be with you". Or better still, "No one marries his or her enemy."  Well all these statements can be true but when it becomes an anthem , then whoever is singing it, is in fact missing something. Making a relationship work takes effort. Effort I describe as conscious. You decide with your heart, mind and energy, physical energy to work your relationship towards success. If you are married, with kids, it as well become double Effort. Years back, I would constantly nag my husband of not loving me because he paid more attention to people outside our home. His favorite line in response to me was, "Did I marry them? Am I not with you?" You may be laughing now thinking this man... But this statement would pierce my heart to the core. I would cry my eyes out and sometimes even refuse to eat. I recently learnt to pray ...
