GHANA AIDS COMMISSION SUPPORTS “SAVE
THE DANCE”
Save the
dance is an entertainment event created by QuietStorm
Entertainment seeking to explore the social/sub-culture of dancing by creating
an opportunity for second cycle institutions to express their knacks through a
dance competition coupled with messages on the fight against HIV/AIDs.
Every second
cycle institution presents a group of four members who compete against their
rival school through choreography and formation dances.
Special belligerent judges determine the
overall winning school as ambassadors for spreading the message against
HIV/AIDs with support from Ghana AIDs
commission.
Save The
Dance is running for the eighth year with support from the Ghana Aids Commission for the fact that,
·
It
creates a dynamic thrill and fun atmosphere where the youth come and outdo each
other through the act of dance and choreography and at the same time promoting
the awareness on HIV/AIDs.
·
It
also serves as a platform for the exhibition and realization of talent.
·
Reducing the proportion of boys/girls who engage
in unsafe sexual behaviors, since they are in their prime.
·
Promoting
healthy lifestyles among the youth.
